Note: Lysimachia (Jin Qian Cao), the major ingredient in Li Gan Pian, will dissolve gallstones without causing contraction of the duct, and so can be used for larger stones. The patient can make a decoction of 30 grams a day of the crude herb and drink it on a long-term basis.
