dietary guidelines

therapeutic foods:
• apples, asparagus, cherry, cucumber, dandelion greens, foods high in chlorophyll, green vegetables
• foods rich in Vitamin A
• foods providing acidophillus and lactobacillus (Shefi)

fresh juices: (Shefi)
• celery juice
• sour apple and celery juice
• liquid chlorophyll
• 2 oz. guava powder. Eat 1/2 oz. 3 times per day with warm water half an hour after each meal

specific remedies:
• 1 Tbsp liquid chlorophyll three times daily (Shefi)
• 4 alfalfa tablets three times daily (Shefi)
• chlorella tablets as instructed (Jensen)
• take 8 clams and toast in their shell, and eat the clams twice daily

avoid:
• meat, alcohol, hot sauces, spicy foods, fried foods, fatty foods, rich foods, salty foods, coffee, caffeine, sweet foods and sugar


supplements

• Manganese 50 mg three times daily
• Choline 1 g every 6 hours
• B12, if on cimetidine (Tagamet) which reduces B12 absorption (Salom, et al., 1982; 17: 129-131)

» drug interactions:
• Phosphorous and aluminum hydroxide: aluminum binds dietary Phosporous, potentially causing depletion
• Calcium and aluminum hydroxide: aluminum causes increased urinary and stool Calcium (Spencer and Kramer, 1983; 143: p. 657-658)
