Pinellia C. = Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang = "Pinellia Decoction to Drain the Epigastrium"

signs and symptoms: Abdominal distention, dry heaves or vomiting, loss of appetite, borborygmus, frequent diarrhea, impetuousness, annoyance.
tongue and pulse: Thin, yellow, and greasy tongue coating, and wiry, rapid pulse.
indications: Stomach Qi Xu (Deficiency) with Exterior or Half-Exterior or Half-Interior Condition. With the appropriate presentation, may be used in conditions conventionally diagnosed as stomatitis, motion sickness, gastritis, gastromegaly, acute gastroenteritis, indigestion or gastric ulcers due to stomach acidity, early-stage cirrhosis, and chronic hepatitis.

ingredients: dosage for two days:
» 9 grams: pinellia (ban xia), dry ginger (gan jiang).
» 6 grams: scute (huang qin), ginseng (ren shen).
» 3 grams: coptis (huang lian), honey-baked licorice (gan cao), jujube (da zao).
