homeopathy
definition
In Ayurvedic medicine, each homeopathic medicine has action on one of the seven body systems. Key remedies include:
Chyle system: Bism., Camph., Crot-t., Rat., Rheum, Sec., Verat.
Blood system: Mur-ac., Ant-t., Bapt., Bry., Cedr., Cham., Cinch., Coff., Gels.
Flesh system: Acon., Bell., Ant-c., Apis, Cocc., Iod., Lyc.
Fat system: Ambr., Anac., Brom., Ign., Kali-br.
Bone system: Arn., Abrot., Bar-c., Calc., Caust., Ferr., Kali-c., Mag-c., Merc.
Marrow system: Am-c., Ars., Op., Phos.
Sperm system: Arg-n., Helon., Am-m., Sulph.
It is felt that when one or two systems are involved in disease, single medicines are able to cure quickly. But in chronic cases where all seven systems are affected, single medicines are not very effective, and are considered palliative at best. It is therefore both desirable and necessary that there should be a medicine for each of the seven systems and these should be combined together in equal quantities and in the same potency.
