• Huang Lien Pien: Stomach Fire Blazing: dryness of mouth, constipation, excessive thirst and appetite, halitosis, swollen painful gums, burning sensation in the epigastrum, preference for cold drinks, ulcer, gastritis, diabetes, hyperthyroidism (Fan, et al., 1986, p. 80-81)
