abdominal exercises

1. flexion: lie on back with arms extended above head, then raise the head and trunk of the body to sitting position; repeat 5-10 times, 3 times per week
2. extension: lie face down with arms extended above head, then raise head and
trunk backward; repeat 5-10 times, 3 times per week
3. lateral flexion: with body in upright position and arms extended above the head, bend head and trunk of body to right and then to left (same amount as above)
4. rotation: standing, arms extended horizontally with shoulders, rotate trunk to right then to left; repeat 10-20 times, 3 times per week
5. circle: standing, hands on hips, bend head and trunk forward, right, backward and left; reverse the movements; repeat 10-20 times, 3 times per week
