» treatment of overdose: atropine is used to treat the bradycardia; fluid replacement therapy should be provided, followed by epinephrine should the hypotension continue; EKG monitoring is recommended during the recovery period (AMA, p. 101)

» Oral ingestion can cause salivation, vomiting, diarrhea, and a sensation of prickling of the skin. Severe systemic signs and symptoms include headache, myalgia, muscular weakness, limb paralysis, dimness of vision, lacrimation, dyspnea, bradycardia, and hypotension. Shock, convulsions, coma, and death may follow (AMA, p. 100).
