» conventional diagnoses: infectious hepatitis; cholecystitis

» etiology: chronic Spleen Xu (Deficiency) and Liver Qi Stagnation; external, climatic Damp-Heat.

signs and symptoms

signs and symptoms:

• low-grade continuous fever

• loss of appetite

• bitter taste in mouth

nausea

• vomiting

fullness and pain of chest and hypochondrium

• abdominal distension

• jaundice

• scanty dark urine

• vaginal itching and/or discharge

• scrotal inflammation

• tinea cruris.

» pulse: rapid, slippery; full or wiry

» tongue: red with a greasy yellow coating
