Fu Lung Kan C. = Huang Tu Tang = "Yellow Earth Decoction"

signs and symptoms: Blood in the stool, hemoptysis, hemorrhage, nosebleeds, or abnormal uterine bleeding of pale blood, cold extremities, dry skin, pale complexion, weak constitution.
tongue and pulse: pale tongue with a white coating, and deep, thin, and forceless pulse.
indications: Spleen Yang Xu (Deficiency). With the appropriate presentation, may be used in conditions conventionally diagnosed as epistaxis, hemoptysis, chronic hemorrhagic gastritis, peptic ulcer, endometritis, uterine bleeding, intestinal bleeding, rectal ulcer, rectal cancer, hemorrhoids.
cautions and contraindications:
ingredients: dosage for two days:
» 30 grams: fu long gan (tu xin tu).
» 9 grams: fresh rehmannia (sheng di huang), gelatin (e jiao).
» 6 grams: white atractylodes (bai zhu), scute (huang qin), licorice (gan cao).
» 3 grams: aconite (fu zi).
modifications:
» for more severe hemorrhaging, add pseudoginseng (san qi) and artemesia (ai ye).
» for severe Qi Xu (Deficiency), add codonopsis (dang shen).
