image: Close your eyes. Breathe in and out three times. Let yourself feel every inch of the surface of the air passages through which your breath flows. Notice how the feeling changes only slightly as you bring your breath in and let your breath fall out. See your lungs and air passages as if they were separate from your body and right before your eyes. Let each slight event that you feel be reflected in what you see. Examine everything carefully and find each and every restriction to the free flow of air. As you do this, notice which of these restrictions are due to swelling, which due to foreign obstruction and which to constriction. Take a moment to realize that the information that you have just discovered is the most important element that you can provide to your self to ensure your ultimate healing. Enjoy the satisfaction that this realization brings to you.
Breathe in and out three times more and discover that in your hands you hold three simple tools. In your active hand, one tool is ready to be used, while in your receptive hand two others wait. Feel your arm rise as you get ready to use the first tool. When you see it, you notice that it is an oddly shaped spoon perfect for removing obstructions from the lungs before your eyes. As you use your first tool to change the image that you are looking at notice the change that comes in the breathing that you feel. After you have finished using the first tool take a moment to marvel and celebrate. When you are ready, set the first tool down and move the second to your active hand. Feel your arm rise again as it brings the second tool into view. Let yourself be amused as you realize that what you hold is a feather. With the feather held lightly in hand, see and feel yourself stroke the constricted areas. Making them feel good, helping them to relax and let go of all anxiety. Feel the new sense of ease that comes over your breathing as you work. When all constrictions have been eased, set down your feather and bring up your third tool. It proves to be a small syringe with which you may draw away the fluids from all swollen areas in the air passages and lungs. When at last you are finished let yourself become aware of the free and open flow of air throughout the system and feel glad. When you are ready, let your eyes open once again. (Chavez)
