Lotus Seed C. = Qing Xin Lian Zhu Yin.

signs and symptoms: Thriving in the upper body with weakness in the lower body; nervousness, extreme thirst, bitter taste in the mouth, loss of appetite, dry throat, weak gastrointestinal tract, tired arms and legs, frequent urination, turbid urination, enuresis, sensation of residual urine, polyuria, nocturnal emission, blood-tinged leukorrhea, diabetic neuropathy.
tongue and pulse: Weak pulse.
indications: Kidney Yin Xu (Deficiency) with Empty Fire Blazing. With the appropriate presentation, may be used in conditions conventionally diagnosed as renal calculi, pyelitis, cystitis, leukorrhea, prostatitis, impotence, urinary retention, diabetes, and stomatitis.
cautions and contraindications:
ingredients: dosage for one day:
» 4 grams: lotus seed (lian zi), ophiopogon (mai men dong), poria (fu ling).
» 3 grams: ginseng (ren shen), plantago (che qian cao), scute (huang qin).
» 2 grams: astragalus (huang qi), lycium bark (di gu pi), licorice (gan cao).
