dietary guidelines

therapeutic foods:
• foods that raise Yang, tonify Yang, tonify the Spleen, Warming foods, bland foods

fresh juices:
• carrot, celery, spinach, and parsley (Walker, p. 150)
• carrot and spinach (Walker, p. 150)
• carrot, beet, and cucumber (Walker, p. 150)
• carrot, celery, and parsley (Walker, p. 150)

specific remedies:
• put l kg fresh lychee with seeds (or dried lychee in a reduced quantity) in l liter rice wine; seal the container and put away for l week. Then drink twice daily (Lu, p. 153)

avoid:
• fatty foods, rich foods, salty foods, coffee, caffeine, sweet foods and sugar, alcohol, cow's milk and other dairy products, white bread, refined foods, processed foods, catarrh-forming foods: tofu, meat, ice cream, cold foods and excess raw foods


supplements

• Vitamin C 3 g per day
• Vitamin E 800 IU per day
