location: 3 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of T-9, level with GV-8.
actions: regulates the Liver Qi and Yang; spreads Liver Qi; clears Heat; descends Rebellious Qi; regulates the Stomach Qi
indications: neurasthenia; hypertension; headache; fainting; dizziness; difficulty swallowing; vomiting; pleurisy; stomachache; borborygmi; melancholy and fullness in the chest; distending pain in the chest and hypochondrium; periumbilical pain; poor digestion; jaundice; diseases of liver and gall bladder; urine red or yellow; rheumatism; mid-back pain and stiffness
needle technique: oblique insertion, 0.3 - 0.5 cun
moxa: 3-7 cones of direct moxa; 5 - 15 minutes of indirect moxa with a pole
