Rhubarb and Mirabilitum C. = Tiao Wei Cheng Qi Tang = "Regulate the Stomach and Order the Qi Decoction"

signs and symptoms: Mild constipation, abdominal pain on palpation, sweating, fever without chills, dry mouth and tongue, irritability, weak constitution.
tongue and pulse: Slippery, rapid pulse.
indications: Stomach and Large Intestine Heat. With the appropriate presentation, this formula may be used in treating conditions conventionally diagnosed as food poisoning, acute gastroenteritis, food stagnation, febrile diseases with constipation, habitual constipation, and constipation in the elderly.
cautions and contraindications: Contraindicated during pregnancy.
ingredients: dosage for two days:
» 10 grams: rhubarb (da huang), mirabilitum (mang xiao).
» 3 grams: honey-baked licorice (gan cao).
preparation: Decoct mirabilitum (mang xiao) last.
