» etiology: Stagnation of Qi causes Xue Yu (Blood Stasis): Qi moves Xue (Blood), if Qi stagnates, Xue (Blood) congeals. Chronic Qi Xu (Deficiency) contributes to Stasis as the Qi becomes too weak to move Xue (Blood). Xue (Blood) Heat may cause Xue (Blood) to coagulate and stagnate. Chronic Xue Xu (Blood Deficiency) will contribute to Qi Xu (Deficiency) and hence to Stasis as Qi's moving function declines. Inerior Cold can slow down circulation of Xue (Blood)
» principle of treatment: resolve Stasis; activate and regulate Xue (Blood)
