complementary herbs

formula: powdered herb:
Echinacea spp., 1 and a half oz.
Chimaphila umbellata, 1 and a half oz.
Quercus alba, 1 and a half oz.
add to 2 pints of water and boil for 10 min.; strain and add
Ichthyol, 2 oz.
Carbolic acid, 1 tsp.
slowly to one cup of hot decoction. Add 1-2 tbsp. of grated beeswax and stir with a wooden spoon until cool. Apply topically over abdomen, cover with gauze, then a warm, moist compress, then a warm wool blanket (Sherman)

formula:
Mitchella repens, 2 dr.
Frasera canadensis, 3 dr.
Aletris farinosa, 2 dr.
Hydrastis canadensis, 1 dr.
instructions: 15 minims in water three times daily between meals (Sherman)

formula: hormonal tonic to correct hyperestrinism:

from end of menses to ovulation:
Vitex agnus castus, 2 dr.
