Astragalus and Atractylodes C. = Li Shi Qing Shu Yi Qi Tang = "Master Li's Decoction to Clear Summer-Heat and Augment the Qi"

signs and symptoms: Fever, spontaneous sweating, headache, thirst, frequent watery stools, a desire to curl up, weakness of the arms and legs, loss of appetite, a sensation of fullness in the chest and a heavy body, loose stools, scanty urination.
tongue and pulse: Greasy tongue coating, and weak pulse.
indications: Damp Summer-Heat with Qi Xu (Deficiency). With the appropriate presentation, may be used in conditions conventionally diagnosed as heat stroke, anorexia, summer fever in children, sunstroke, and common cold in the summer.
cautions and contraindications:
ingredients: dosage for two days:
» 9 grams: astragalus (huang qi).
» 6 grams: medicated leaven (shen qu), alisma (ze xie), ophiopogon (mai men dong), tang kuei (dang gui), pueraria (ge gen).
» 3 grams: white atractylodes (bai zhu), red atractylodes (cang zhu), blue citrus (qing pi), schizandra (wu wei zi), phellodendron (huang bai), cimicifuga (sheng ma).
» 1 gram: ginseng (ren shen), citrus (chen pi), honey-baked licorice (gan cao).
