patterns and combinations

after assessing the person and palpating, consider these patterns:
Heat in the Xue (Blood); Liver Qi Stagnation

» therapeutic notes:
• if induced by patient picking, dress with herbs to promote healing
• stop eating foods which create turbidity and provoke hypersensitivity reactions as they often inhibit blood flow to hands
• see also "anxiety" if that is an etiologic factor

» illustrative combinations:
• PC-6, LI-4 and Jing Well points for paronychia (Ambrose)
