» therapeutic note:

» illustrative combinations:
• pancreatic cancer: (1) needle PC-6 and St-36; (2) needle UB-20; (3) needle CV-12, CV-10 and CV-6; (4) needle, with light stimulus, at each end and in the middle of the tumor; follow with 10 to 15 minutes of indirect moxa with ginger or instrument, or burn moxa on needle handles; consider also, ten cones of direct moxa, soybean size, on CV-10; (5) pi gen (D): fourteen cones of direct moxa, red bean size, to the affected side during first treatment and every seven days thereafter; apply electrical stimulation to the tumor for 10 minutes and follow with indirect moxa; note: "In mild conditions or in the first stages, 10 to 20 treatments will bring a cure. Severe cases tend to be incurable." (So, 1987, p. 214)
• Sp-3, Kd-3, UB-20, TW-3, Lv-2 and CV-3: influence the pancreas (Worsley, 1975, p. B-20; McWilliams, et al, Lesson 31, p. 258)
• St-36, GV-14 and LI-4: return the white blood cell count to normal (leukopenia after chemotherapy) (Finkelstein, p. 20)
