Lotus and Citrus C. = Qi Pi Tang

signs and symptoms: Watery diarrhea, children's indigestion, poor appetite, frequent abdominal pain, frequent vomiting.
tongue and pulse: Pale, moist, swollen tongue with weak, sinking pulse.
indications: Spleen and Stomach Qi Xu (Deficiency). With the appropriate presentation, may be used in conditions conventionally diagnosed as indigestion, chronic gastroenteritis, watery diarrhea, chronic diarrhea, and loss of appetite during sickness.
cautions and contraindications:
ingredients: dosage for one day:
» 4 grams: white atractylodes (bai zhu), poria (fu ling).
» 3 grams: lotus seed (lian zi), dioscorea (shan yao), ginseng (ren shen).
» 2 grams: crataegus (shan zha), alisma (ze xie), citrus (chen pi).
» 1 grams: licorice (gan cao).
