location: 3 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of L-1, level with GV-5.
actions: regulates the Triple Warmer; ensures smooth spread of the Triple Warmer Qi to the Heart region
indications: mastitis; breast cancer; pain in chest and/or upper abdomen; spasm of stomach; feces too dry; constipation; low back pain; paralysis of lower limb
needle technique: perpendicular insertion, 1 - 2 cun, producing sensation of soreness and distension, which may extend down to the buttocks or perpendicular insertion, 0.3 - 0.6 cun, or oblique insertion, 0.5 - 0.8 cun
moxa: 5 - 10 cones of direct moxa; 10 - 20 minutes of indirect moxa with a pole
