signs and symptoms: Anxiety, palpitations, easily frightened, poor appetite, irritability, fidgeting.
tongue and pulse: Greasy tongue coat, slippery or wiry pulse.
indications: Shen Disturbance due to Heart and Gall Bladder Xu (Deficiency).
cautions and contraindications:
ingredients: dosage for one day:
» 6 grams: pinellia (ban xia), chih-shih (zhi shi), citrus (chen pi).
» 4.5 grams: poria (fu ling).
» 3 grams: zizyphus (suan zao ren), polygala (yuan zhi), schizandra (wu wei zi), prepared rehmannia (shu di huang), ginseng (ren shen).
» 1.5 grams: honey-fried licorice (zhi gan cao).
» 5 slices: fresh ginger
