location: 1 cun inferior to Kd-3, in the depression on the medial calcaneous, just inferior to the tip of the calcaneous.
actions: reinforces the Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel) and Ren Mai (Conception Vessel); regulates Qi and Xue (Blood); strengthens Yuan (Original) Qi; moves the Lower Warmer; regulates the menses; strengthens function of the Kidney; revives circulation of Qi in the Kidney organs and channels; clears and regulates the Bladder
indications: myopia; clouded or flowery vision; asthma; premenstrual syndrome; amenorrhea; irregular menses; menstrual pain; uterine prolapse; impotence; frequent urination; inhibited urination; dribbling of urine
needle technique: perpendicular insertion, 0.3 - 0.5 cun, producing a local sensation of soreness and distension, and possibly a numb sensation spreading to the bottom of the foot
moxa: 3 - 5 cones of direct moxa; 5 - 10 minutes of indirect moxa with a pole
