definition

Twin Flower (Linnaea borealis)

Therapeutic theme: non-judgement
Signature: A creeping ground cover plant with small shiny elliptic leaves and one stalk which produces two identical bell shaped pink flowers. The plant signature is the two identical flowers which shows up as the age-old symbol of the scales of justice. Its delicate pink colour symbolizes compassion from which no judgement can arise.

Making judgements leads to rigidity and resistance. We can only release judgement when we are peaceful with ourselves, then we can greet every situation with a breath of release and with the deep knowing that what we put out we will get back. It is with this mental framework that we are able to be in the process of our lives without getting stuck on fixed positions.
Primarily a mental remedy it promotes an awareness that it is all much bigger than we are able to perceive and understand. Twin Flower fosters optimism and humility.
On another level it is for those who adopt a critical attitude towards everything and everyone, including themselves. Twin Flower gives us the gift of discernment and the ability to make choices which are in tune with our inner journey and without criticism of self or other.
