Jing Well, Wood and Tonification point of the Hand Jue Yin (Pericardium /Circulation-Sex) channel
location: On the radial side of the middle finger, 0.1 cun proximal to the corner of nail.
actions: opens the Orifices to restore consciousness; expels Wind; eliminates Heat, esp. reduces Fire from the Heart; clears the Heart; restores Yang and stems counterflow; volatilizes the Lung and opens the pulses; clears and disperses the vicious Yang (Finkelstein, p. 60)
indications: severe fright; intense fever, with melancholy and anxiety but no perspiration; hypertension; hypotension; fainting; delirium; unconsciousness; coma due to Wind-stroke; shock; apoplexy; stroke; childhood convulsions; poor memory; severe headaches; tongue rigid; cardiac pain; sore throat; stomach pain; vomiting and diarrhea; heat in the palms
needle technique: upward oblique insertion, 0.1 cun, producing localized pain; bleed, but avoid bleeding with a Xu (Deficiency) condition
moxa: moxa forbidden.
