» etiology: excessive sexual activity; too many childbirths too close together; a form of Kidney Yang Xu (Deficiency)

signs and symptoms

signs and symptoms:

• weakness and aching of back, esp. the lower lumbar region

• frequent urination with clear, abundant urine

dribbling after urination

• urinary incontinence

• enuresis

• night urination

nocturnal emissions without dreams

» pulse: deep, weak

» tongue: pale

course and prognosis

» principle of treatment: reinforce and stabilize Kidney Qi to secure the two "lower Yin Orifices", i.e., the urethra and the "Sperm Gate"
