1. lying on back, place both hands on chest and experience relaxed chest breathing
2. lying on back, place both hands on abdomen and experience relaxed abdominal
breathing
3. lying on back with hands at sides, inhale while raising one hand up at a time and
then back over head; exhale while bringing hand back to original position
4. lying on back, stretch arms to sides to form a cross and breathe in; while exhaling return hands to original position
5. lying on back, reach both hands up to the sky while inhaling; exhale while returning hands to sides
6. sitting with arms hanging at sides, stretch each arm out in front in turn while
inhaling; exhale while returning arms to sides
7. sitting, raise one arm in air and bend to other side while inhaling; return to original position while exhaling
8. sitting with back very straight lift both arms towards sky while inhaling; return to original position while exhaling
9. standing, lift both hands and place in back of head while inhaling, return to original position while exhaling
10. standing, hold broomstick-like rod in both hands; while inhaling bring rod to chest level; return to original position while exhaling
11. do a squat using a chair for support; exhale as you squat down, inhale coming up
12. standing with both hands on waist, lift one arm overhead and bend to opposite side while breathing in; return to original position while exhaling, repeat for opposite side
13. standing, lean backwards while inhaling; exhale on return to original position
14. standing, hold broomstick-like rod in both hands across thighs; lift the rod
directly overhead while inhaling and bend to one side; return to original position while breathing out; repeat on opposite side
